...i arrived very late during the seminar. But i read the ppt presentation that was uploaded in the elearn.I have learned the meaning of DEVCOM, the essence of my chosen course, the career, the power of communication, the activities we the students will experience, the difference between DEVCOM and MASSCOM, the two major of DEVCOM which is EDUCOM and DEVJOURN, etc.

She even gave an example about Photography. You've got great shots, very decieving pictures but if you don't know how to express your photos, explain what it is about that photo would be useless. You have to know how to explain and thats when communication starts.
And we must arrive early all the time:))... because if you will become a broadcaster or a DJ you have to be on time because the listeners or the viewers will wait.

What is community mapping for you based on your experience in the past 2 excercises? How do you think can it be applied to your community?

Community mapping for me based on my experience in the past 2 exercises is making a very specific and not complicated deign of the specific area we are assigned. It is a drawing done by hand not through computer. It is a drawing of various places around the area. Like our group we were assigned in Yacapin, Mabini, Pacana, and Tiano street. We walked around the area so we could determine every landmark we have to remember. Community mapping is not only based on how nice it is drawn or the creatuvity but it is also based on how accurate it may be. It can be applied in many ways. If you are lost and you don't know where you are going te map can help. It will also allow you to determine which part of the area is greatly in need. Example the area needs a basketball court which maam rivera gave as an example. Or how about a health center, evacuation center, gymnasium, school, water, shelter, etc. It can also be applied in times of disaster. Community mapping is very important no matter how small the area can be.

The MDG goal that i feel more and how i understand development in my chosen goal

Achieve universal primary education is what i feel more. Education is very important to each and everyone of us. You see in our present world full of problems one of these problems is looking for a job. They hire people who have high grades and those who have finished there education. In Del Monte Philippines where my mom works, they hire those who are magna cum laude, cum laude, and those who are honors since they need people who are so good in whatever they need. Education is very important too for yor future. If you will have a family, what will you teach your children if you don't know anything. That is why we have to grab the opportunity that our parents sends us to school with allowance "pagyud". And there are times we demand to them about this and that. In return to what they gave we can give them back a good grade which will make them happy. It means a lot to them. I even regretted the past semester that I failed 2 subjects. Development in this MDG is that if all of the children will go to school and finish there education we could see that there is a development in it. Develop mentally, physically, spiritually:) And to those who have finished there education he/she can make a change. We are the children of the future:) And that's it:)

Development

There are a lot of definitions that can be defined with the word development.

Development is a process of social change. It involves changing people and the environment. We human beings wants a change. A change in any form. It maybe politically, socially, spiritually, economically, in education, health, etc.

Development may have some certain limitations but i do believe there is something more we could make/do. In order to develop it must undergo certain process. And will be able to face challenges. But with our hard work, dedication,patience,etc we will be able to achieve development.:)

CoMmUniCatiOn fOr mE iS......

Communication for me is expressing one's thoughts and feelings. It is also an interaction between a sender and a receiver. It can be expressed in a verbal or non-verbal mode. Communication is a process of sending and receiving message and giving feedback which is an effective 2 way communication process.:]
